SELF-care. The word says it all.
I anticipate that you're having a boundless day so far. These are my personally generated list of 10 things you can do to contribute to your self-care and intellectual health.
I am a mother of 4 Mademoiselles and they really do keep me at my toes. Our kids' needs can be infinite at times so when and if needed, you just have to take a second to care for yourself.
When you fly on an airplane, the flight attendant instructs you to put your oxygen mask on first before assisting others. This rule is very important for ensuring survival because if you run out of oxygen, you can’t help anyone with their oxygen mask especially your young and reliant progenies. More simply put, if you die, you can’t help anyone else.
This metaphor is directed towards those who spend a great deal of their time taking care of others ranging from parents, caregivers, teachers, doctors, and so forth.
Lack of self-care can easily deplete you as a caregiver, resulting in you conceivably experiencing possible stress, burnout, fatigue, reduced mental effectiveness, anxiety, health problems, frustration, agitation, and in some instances fatality. Please don’t wait until you’re experiencing these symptoms before you take care of yourself. Instead, replenish your energy habitually and frequently by doing little or big things for yourself.
